Blackwork Hearts Sampler

Stitched on 14 count White Aida using cross stitch and backstitch.

This Blackwork design was inspired by an embroidered cushion cover dating from around 1600. The decorative Blackwork is stitched using two different weights of thread and is surrounded by the luxurious deep red cross stitched background.
